The head of the European Ozone Research Coordinating Unit is Dr Neil Harris. The senior scientist is Professor John Pyle.

Mr Joe Farman, one of the discoverers of the Antarctic ozone hole, joined EORCU since retiring from the British Antarctic Survey.

All the scientists are involved in international programmes and assessments, including the United Nations Environment Programme / World Meteorolgical Organisation ozone assessments and the reports for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and are also members of the United Kingdom Stratospheric Ozone Review Group.
