Fifth SCOUT-O3 Annual Meeting
Schliersee, Germany
15th-17th June 2009

The fifth and final SCOUT-O3 Annual Meeting will take place from 15th-17th June 2009 at the Kurzentrum (Monte Mare, Perfallstraße 4, close to the station) in Schliersee.

The meeting will start with an ice breaker and poster session on Sunday 14th and there will be plenary sessions on Monday 15th, Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th June. The Wednesday afternoon will be a joint session with the COST meeting on water vapour. The COST meeting will continue on the Thursday and Friday in Schliersee (more information). The posters will be up throughout the SCOUT-O3 meeting and form a major part of the meeting with extended lunch breaks and dedicated evening poster sessions. In addition, a few posters will be selected for short oral presentation.

Abstracts
Download the meeting abstracts when they are ready. Please note that they will not be made available at the meeting.

Poster Size
A maximum of A0 size: 90 cm wide by 130 cm high.

Registration
A small registration fee may be charged which will help cover the costs of the conference facilities, refreshments and the conference dinner on Tuesday evening. A reduction may be available for those not attending the dinner depending on the final arrangements. More information about this will be available in due course. Payment will be made in cash at the meeting.

The meeting room has a capacity of 150 people, so there is a chance that we will be unable to accept all applications. This decision will be made just after the registration deadline, several weeks before the meeting itself.

Travel

The main ways of getting to Schliersee are by train and by air passing through Munich. From Munich Hauptbahnhof direct regional trains to Schliersee leave regularly (about every hour). The journey takes about 50 minutes. From Munich airport, take a local train (S-Bahn No. 8) to Munich Hauptbahnhof and change to the Schliersee train. The total journey time takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. See Bahn.de for further information.

Hotels
Schliersee is a small village with a good selection of hotels. Information can be found at the Schliersee visitor website (Hotels) where you can also see that dumplings are available for dessert as well as main course. Most of the hotels are in easy walking distance of the Kurzentrum (Monte Mare). Meeting participants should make their own reservations directly with the hotel.
